The purpose of this Section is to identify the common reasons that employees request time off work, and to provide some guidelines on when PHK CPA will treat such absences as excused (so that no
disciplinary action will be taken for the absence). Obviously, not every possible situation can be envisioned or identified, and PHK CPA retains the right to decide whether a particular absence should be
excused in any particular situation.
