Storm Worm Hits Computers Around the World

This Trojan arrives as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web sites. It is also currently spammed via email using subject lines related to specific current world events such as the big storm that hit Europe last week. The bogus email pretends to offer a video clip about the event if the user downloads and runs the attached file. The image below is a sample of the phony email message.

This Trojan contains code that can download and execute other possibly malicious files from certain Web sites. As a result, malicious routines of the downloaded file/s cab will be exhibited on the affected system.

If you receive this spammed message, do not open the attached file. Delete the message and your PC will remain safe from the trojan attack.
